About the founder Karolina Drozd
I earned my Master of Science in Architecture and Urban Planning from the Technical University of Gdansk in 2003. Growing up around my family's business, I immersed myself in architecture, engineering, shipbuilding and energy projects.
My childhood was spent in Iceland's on western island Vestmannaeyar, where my father worked in the shipyard as an engineer overseeing shipbuilding constructions. Frequent visits to the shipyard shaped my career preferences and business expertise, particularly in shipbuilding, engineering and steel structures.
Over the years, my family established in Poland a private shipbuilding company, constructing large-scale vessels for Scandinavian shipowners. This experience paved my active involvement in shipbuilding in Poland and abroad. It also allowed me to establish lasting and friendly relationships with contractors that endure to this day.
After graduating from the Technical University in Gdansk, I contributed to the construction of major marine and hydrotechnical projects in Poland, such as the Deep-Water Container Terminal in Gdansk and the Liquid Gas Terminal LNG in Świnoujście. These experiences led to connections with global construction companies and clients in hydrotechnical, marine and civil engineering sectors.
Since 2010, I've expanded my professional involvement to offshore wind energy projects in Poland and Europe, focusing on business development to secure contracts in foreign and domestic markets. I have also been involved in the first in Poland construction of Jack-up installation vessels for offshore wind farms.
My professional journey has provided numerous valuable connections and opportunities, which I now aim to share with Growlist users, supporting them to achieve their business goals.
